Hello and welcome to my blog. Before you get into the information that I want to provide for you, I feel that you should have the opportunity to get to know me a little bit better. Ever since I was a child, I always had the dream of working for myself and being my own boss. My first entrepreneurial experience came when I was in 4th grade. I planted corn in the garden and sold it both on the side of the road as well as the local farmers market. I loved being able to make my own money from my own efforts without having someone else structuring the amount of hours I had to work and when I needed to show up.
Sadly, I was taught that the way real life works is that I needed to go to school, get an education and work for someone else until I was at retirement age. This never sat well with me. I think it might have been because I had never done well with being told what I can and can’t do. When someone told me what I couldn’t do, I went against the grain and did it anyway. You may think that is a bad thing, and it has gotten me in my share of trouble in the past. Now, it’s actually become one of my strongest allies because so many people have told me that I could never be successful in network marketing.
I was introduced to network marketing in 1996 through a small company that you might have heard by now. Does Amway ring a bell? Well, I did everything my up-line told me to do and I just couldn’t seem to make any money with it, even though I invested a ton of money into making it work. I listened to the takes, read the books. I went door to door,cold called people, bugged my friends and family. I went to hotel meetings and company events. Nothing I did worked, so I left the industry for a couple years.
I continued to work hard for others while dabbling here and there with different companies and started to see a little bit of success, but not the kind I had dreamed of. It was always a struggle and I moved on to different companies in hopes of it finally being the one that would buy my new car, a fancy house and allow me to live out the dreams that I had since childhood.
In 2005, I discovered how people were making huge amounts of money online and decided to try my hand at marketing online. Again I had a lot to learn and thought the people that I was getting involved in were going to help me achieve my dreams. I was so wrong and still struggled to make much money at all. There were all these guru’s offering training and help so I decided to try some of their products and services. Nothing I did was providing me with much success at all so I stopped wasting my money on training and just kept telling people about my products and opportunities.
Finally, after having enough failure, in December 2008 I decided to dig into my wallet and try one more training program. You see, I had been on Mike Dillard’s mailing list for 2 1/2 years by now and he just kept sending me emails. I had been hearing how people that had gone through the same struggles that I did, were finally making money from home. Mike offered a 1 year money back guarantee, so what did I really have to lose? I bought it and read through the whole course right then and there. I felt like someone punched me in the stomach. I was doing everything wrong through my whole network marketing career. People didn’t care about my product or opportunity. I wasn’t showing them how I could actually help them get away from the pain or problem that they were experiencing. They saw no benefit whatsoever in joining my business with me. Instead they just saw me as another person trying to get their hand in there pocket.
So now I was equipped with the right ideas on how to build my business, but had no clue how to implement them. I started looking at different marketing systems and tried several of them until I found MLM Lead System Pro. Wow, it was Magnetic Sponsoring in action. I buried myself into MLSP’s trainings, put my marketing system together in a matter of a couple hours and by the end of the day, I was generating my own quality leads that were looking for the same answers that I was.
