How much are you spending on training?

Is it me, or is there a new Guru product launch every 5 days? How fricken confused are you right now after buying the last 8 or 10 training programs. Can you really market the way all 8 of those guru’s put together? Hell no and the way they do most of it is through outsourcing. They concentrate on 1 or 2 marketing techniques until they become experts and then have someone make a product for them about how things were once it finally took off. Then you buy it and never use it because 2 weeks later, you found an even better marketing tactic.

Seriously, there are so many places for you to get all the free training you need to be successful in this industry. Do some research on MLM trainers and top bloggers. 9 times out of 10, they have an opt in box on their page.  If you find someone that you resonate with, opt in to their list. Contrary to popular believe, you will find a ton of FREE GOLD nuggets from the emails that they send out. They do training calls and webinars to teach people how to market. They send you videos on occasion. Yes, it may be on an auto responder, but none the less most of these top trainers give out a lot of their best stuff.

Why is that? Because they understand that their quality of life is dependent on how much value they give away. Am I saying that you should just get all the free stuff?  No, not at all. Find someone that you resonate with and if they give a ton of value to you, buy their stuff. Learn it and implement it. Then share what you learned with your followers.  But really, don’t try to do everything. Just pick one or two marketing strategies and become an expert at it. Then share it with everyone you can. You’ll be amazed at how much credibility you have when you start adding value to peoples lives instead of just trying to get in there pocket.

Hi Troy,

Great post! I too have gotten inundated, flooded and deluged with product launches all of which are the best thing since sliced bread.

The basics of marketing are find a good product, find out what people like about it or why they want and then tell as many people as possible in your target market.

Your advice is awesome – find a few things that work or a mentor that you resonate with and have at it. Put things into action and be consistent.

All the best,

Alan

Hey Troy,

Great post here. In today’s market where there is information
overload even the Gurus are ‘feeling’ it. In order to connect more easily with ppl, especially new prospects, you have to give away much more of your ‘golden nuggets’ than anytime before.

Nowadays, it’s the ppl that give Great Value that WIN! Very similar to Opportunities online as well. The rules are changing…. it’s a Buyer’s Market now, not a Seller’s.
