This is not just about getting traffic either. It is a way to measure what your users are looking for on your website. Taking the lead from your customers when it comes to the content that interests them is a sure-fire way to increase engagement.
It is well known that a blog is very good addition to a website as this is one way to offer the new content to search engines that they love. This in turn can increase the visibility of your website on the search engines for a wider base of key-phrases. If your blog content is well optimized, you make use of proper linking to relevant pages on your website and the quality of content is high, a blog can push up a website’s ranking on the search engines quite significantly.
So why integrate search with social? As part of an integrated digital campaign, social and search compliment each other well and social networks rank well on search engines. Think about your audience and where they are spending their time, social networks like Facebook and Twitter encourage users to share information and links. In addition, they can act as a great link builder.
When designing your social search strategy keep the following in mind. Who is your target audience and on which social networks are they spending their time and which keywords and key-phrases will they use to find your brand? What are your goals and what do you want to achieve with each campaign? Also, remember to keep an eye on popular search terms and include them in your social campaign’s content strategy.
